My journey as a wind turbine technician has slowed for the moment. I am set on having the wind turbines come to me. My family life is so important to me. For the time being I'm handling parts and supplies at Fastenal's K-hub in Lakewood, WA. I drive a forklift, restocking the picking racks from overstock locations. This work is like much of the parts work that I have done in the past, it's just on a much larger scale.
The facility I work at is running 5S lean distribution. It has been very educational for me to see such a big job done so uniformly.
I am satisfied with every part of the job except the pay. I am staying healthy, and really enjoying my family.
I know that in time my career will get a boost. I will be so excited when I get to help bring wind power to Lewis County.
